“Love becomes light each time it meets.”
When two souls resonate, a new light is born there.
The love the dragons carry becomes flowers,
becomes light, and circles again into someone's heart.
This is a ring of light — souls joined to souls, love circulating without end.
While I was painting this, colour and light began to move as one great current,
and before I knew it two dragons had appeared of their own accord.
One coming in from the left, one rising at the centre.
Each holds a different colour and a different face,
and yet they are there as if answering one another. Watching them,
a feeling spread quietly through me:
that because we are different, something is born when we meet.
The light between the two was not simply light —
it was like love flowing in the space between soul and soul.
That light travels from dragon to dragon, and on to the flowers
and the earth and further still, making one great circulation.
As I painted, a thought came to me: perhaps love is not something handed from one to another,
but something that meets, resonates, circles, and grows larger as it goes.
I would be glad if this work became a reason to remember a meeting with someone,
or made a moment in which you notice the love and the kindness already inside you.

Full of movement, each wearing a different energy,
they are connected within a single flow of light.
The ring of light floating at the centre is a place of resonance,
where two beings meet and answer one another.
The rainbow light and the flowers spreading out from it show love being born,
passing into life, and giving rise to new love again — a circulation.
The circular symbol in the upper right is a ring of eternity,
suggesting the circulation of the universe and of life.
The curves and spirals that run across the whole picture, and its vivid colour,
express energy we cannot see, moving without pause and binding the world together.
Dragons have long been loved as symbols of power, wisdom, protection and change.
Here the dragon is painted not only as a symbol of strength,
but as a being that carries love and connects light.
The light the two dragons make will in time illuminate the flowers around them,
turning the whole work into one place of blessing.
To love. To give. To connect.
Each of these becomes light and circles, making the world a little more beautiful.
